Sponsored Video: Christmas for the Ladies
Christmas is an exciting time for everyone: Frank Sinatra songs, soft snow falling everywhere. Gifts. Joy. Laughter.
Stress, stress, stress. That is, if you’re the one preparing, cooking and cleaning. And, let’s be honest, it’s usually the sisters, mothers, grandmothers, wives and daughters who are doing most of the work.
From making sure everyone arrives at the right time, to decorating the place to be picture perfect, to making sure all the gifts are bought and packed. And then there’s the food. Running to the store (usually back and forth) to make the perfect Christmas dinners, to make it new, exciting and special.
And then, once everything is done, and everyone is in a sleep coma, who’s the one tip toeing around and cleaning up? Making sure that everything is perfect for the next day?
That’s right. The ladies. The mothers, wives, daughters, sisters and grandmothers.
Without them, really, what would Christmas be?
It’s time for #santaclara
That’s why it’s so great that Lidl is teaming up with BMG’s Emily Roberts to spread the word on her new song, #santaclara, which asks the question: why should Christmas be run by a man? Every other part of the holiday is about women, so why not introduce someone for the ladies? A song of empowerment that lets women know they are appreciated?
Although it seems like a lot of fun (and it is), it does present a real message. 2017 is coming up, and women are still underrated the world over. We were this close to having a woman lead the most powerful nation in the world, but there are still many problems plaguing women.
We can help make in our own little way this holiday very special for the ladies. It starts with Emily Roberts’ fantastic #santaclara, but can extend to helping the women in our lives by making this Christmas easier for them and more enjoyable for all of us.
Let’s make this Christmas one for the ladies.
